After working as counselors for almost 20 years, Mark and Starla felt their hearts shift toward focusing on the front side of problems; ministering in prevention. They felt the need for teaching, training, equipping, and empowering people so they can make good choices, impact the world around them in greater and healthier ways, and grow more like Christ.
In 2019, Mark & Starla Schlabach started ministering in preventive areas as opportunities came and as the Lord led. With the help of a Board of Directors, Kompass Ministries was started in the spring of 2021.
